i was dreaming
october 31-november 30, 2021
the temple contemporary artist haven
in this exhibition, ten artists interrogate dreams’ relationship to psychoanalysis and role in shared experiences, their potential as tools of prophecy and ancestral memory, and their power as soothsayers for trauma and stress. through a variety of mediums, this work ranges in topic from metaphorical to conceptual to literal, personal realities. it also highlights that archetypes, manifested through dreams, can foster community and reveal the collective unconscious, particularly important ideas in the current time of disconnection from each other and ourselves.
